New Signings at West Bridgford RFC

Ian Marriott15 Aug 2018 - 19:05

Welcome to the first two of the six new signings....

New Signings Announcement!!

Exciting times at West Bridgford RFC as they strengthen their squad for the upcoming Midlands 1 campaign. Following two convincing pre season victories at the weekend v Long Eaton RFC & Swindon RFC, we are proud to announce two of our six recent signings.

Bridgford bolster their forward proposition with two great signings:

Josh Elgoran

Josh is a 2nd Row / Back Row from Te Aroha, New Zealand, who joins the club as a player & coach, focussing on forward set piece. He represented Thames Valley in the Heartland Championship, New Zealand, so has a fantastic pedigree and joins the club with a no-nonsense attitude and high expectation not only of himself but of everyone around him, as he looks to help the club to the next level.

Sean Denning

The club are delighted to welcome back former fan’s favourite Sean Denning who is moving back to the area following a brief stint back home in Gloucestershire. Equally comfortable playing back row or centre, Sean will add strong running and a tough edge to the team and is looking forward to continuing to help build the club. His list of previous clubs is almost as impressive as his huge biceps and includes, Gloucester Academy, Nuneaton RFC, RC Eemland and Matson RFC.

Coach Gareth Kerr says "we are delighted to have secured the services of 6 players who have all played a higher level than the league we are about to go in to, so will each provide some much needed experience to what is a hugely talented and extremely hard working group of players from last season. Josh and Sean are the first two to be announced, keep your eyes peeled for the rest to be announced.
