Hi Everyone :o)
It was a beautiful sunny day for our away game at Lincoln. The boys played really well, we saw some excellent passing and attacking flair from the teams.
Yet again the boys were fantastic representatives for the club. The Lincoln Coach himself commented how well mannered and respectful the boys were.
Thanks to everyone who travelled the distance and to all the parent helpers, it was certainly worthwhile. :o)
Homework for the week:
Spread out in a line. :o)
Stars of the week were:
Noah Thomas, Thomas Bonser and Ben Horner. Congratulations to all three boys.
Morrisons Bag Pack:
Don't forget the Morrisons bag pack on Saturday the 7th December. This is to raise money for the 'Raise the Roof' campaign for the redevelopment of the Clubhouse. The U7's time slot has been confirmed as 12.00 - 14.00. If you can come along even for half an hour it would be very much appreciated. Please see details below from Helen Mason who is organising the bag pack:
All players remember we are representing the club so we need to be polite and helpful. Good first impressions means more money!
Please wear WBRFC rugby tops or anything with a logo on it. Christmas themed head gear optional!
On arrival ALL players and helpers need to sign in and sign out at the end of their session. Ask for me (Helen Mason) I will be there with a white clip board that has all the team lists on. I don’t think I can be there all day so I will nominate someone in my absence to sign people in and out.
Collection buckets with information posters on them will be available.
I suggest players pair up for moral support, more confident ones can man a checkout on their own if they wish. Helpers need to keep an eye out and offer support/opportunities as they arise. Mixing age groups may also support the younger ones.
Stand at the end of the check out and politely ask each customer if they would like help packing their bags. If they say no, smile, It may change their minds or at least donate something!
If asked what we are raising money for players need to explain that the club facilities are in need of upgrading and expansion due to the age of the buildings and the success/popularity of the Rugby club that has encouraged so many children/adults to come and play rugby, including a ladies team. The upgraded building will also provide a excellent venue for the local community to use. (that is the gist of it!) Remember we also share the facilities with the cricket club.
